Your Guide to Charleston’s beautiful Secrets
The heart and soul behind Back Porch Tours starts with a PhD (abd) in Cultural Anthropology and over 30 years of experience giving tours across cities like Santa Fe, Galveston, New Orleans, Los Angeles...Toronto, Banff and Victoria, Canada and even Tijuana Mexico — I bring a deep love for culture, stories, and connection to every drive, eat, drink, photo and walk.
Charleston’s where it comes together with a lot of North American history!
My tours are laid-back, rich with history, and full of those off-the-beaten-path gems that feel like discovering a secret. I weave together Charleston’s past with fun facts, local legends, photography stops, and the kind of food and beverage moments that make a place feel alive.
And if you’ve got a special interest—architecture, war eras, hidden gardens, Southern bites, old jazz joints, or photography—I love customizing tours to fit what you love. We could even go for a sail in the harbor!
Join me for some history, hush puppies with honey butter, and a whole lotta porch talk.
